THE DIFFERENCE
CHINA's money stock is 53.2% larger than EURO AREA's — $42.64T against $19.94T. At their current rates (9.6% and 4.7% a year) China doubles in 7.57Y and Euro Area in 15.2Y.
⚠ NOT A WEALTH RANKING
"So the bigger number is the richer country?" No. Broad money counts deposits and currency outstanding, not wealth, not output and not purchasing power. A country can have a large money stock and a poor population, and the reverse. It is also not comparable to GDP, and the two series here are measured on different dates by different agencies.
